• Al Seef. A newer waterfront district built to resemble old Dubai, genuinely well done — good for an evening walk with fewer crowds than Al Fahidi.
• Jumeirah Fishing Harbour. Early morning fish market and working harbor — a real, unpolished slice of the city most itineraries skip.
• Al Qudra Lakes. Man-made desert lakes popular with cyclists and photographers at sunrise — a genuinely different desert experience than a dune safari.
• Ripe Market (seasonal). A weekend farmers' and artisan market — worth checking dates, but a good read on local weekend life.
